Rebecca Taylor Fall 2014

"When it rains, they just wash away, which is quite a lot like fashion. We do these shows, but you can't get too caught up in it all, because you've got to move on to the next one." Said Rebecca Taylor anxiously awaiting her Fall 2014 show. Inspired by French graffiti artist Philippe Baudelocque her collection included deep navy and muddled lavender outerwear in addition to her well knows flounce dresses and slouch pants.

“Move on to the next one” keeps replaying in my head. For the amount of time the RT team as a whole puts into the show, six quick minutes pass and it’s over. Working with a team that is so tightly knit to each other and the brand is what makes this company drive. If it was not for the showroom take over of posters, pictures, shoe insoles and plastic bags and the entire staff the night before until 2:30 am the show would not have been what it was. As soon as the show was over the team got right back to the showroom and got back to work preparing for market to open the next day, as well as preparing press reviews to sent out to editors. Though this experience I have realized it is not the six minutes 40 looks walk down a runway that makes a company successful it is a team like this, which makes a brand drive.

As for my favorite look- the navy vest is a must for your fall 2014 purchase. Embellished with zipper details and fur collar. This high neck vest can be worn with a pair of leggings and chunky sweater for an après ski, or to a night out in the city with waxed jeans and booties.
