Near Year, New Workout

Tired of the same old workout?

Do you feel like you aren’t getting anywhere with your current workout?

Do you love group classes that keep you motivated and moving?

Is heavy weight training or monotonous running not for you?

It may be time to try a new fun workout called Vbarre!

So what is Vbarre exactly?

Vbarre is a unique mix of ballet, Pilates, and resistance training.  The variation of exercises is meant to tone, trim and transform the body. Intense cardio with fun music burns calories quick, while creating “ballerina-esque “ long lean muscles.  A ballet barre, resistance bands, ball, light hand weights, glide discs and mats are used throughout the class to assist and complete new dynamic movements.  The Vbarre workout targets hard to reach trouble zones such as: the hips, thighs, glutes and core. After one hour in a difficult, (not to mention fun!) vbarre class you will leave feeling energized and accomplished. Trust me, the first class is hard to get through and at times you may feel like giving up, but the soreness you feel the next day and the results you see in the future will keep you coming back!

Where to practice Vbarre?

Vbarre locations are popping all over the Philadelphia area. Urban Front Pilates (on 17th and sansom) is an amazing Pilates studio that offers a variety of classes including Vbarre. The instructors are great; they truly want you to better yourself. Urban Front offers great package deals and student discounts. They keep the classes small and also offer private sessions for a more one-on-one workout experience. Groupon also occasionally has great Vbarre deals, so make sure to keep an eye out!
